The last week of July
When art, culture, beer and delicious food meet, you should expect marvelous things. Just ask the hundreds that attend Sorano's Tra Tufo e Birra festival year after year.
First held in 2002, the festival has reached incredible heights in its short life and now draws visitors from all over Italy and the world.
Musical performances (and incredible world beers) are the stars of this festival and there's hardly a minute of silence throughout the entire weekend. And no one goes home unhappy as the entertainment ticks every box from local traditional music to cover bands, rock and roll, hip hop and even reggae.
To complement the musical Soul Food going on throughout the festival, there is an endless number of stands selling delicious treats. Most are local delicacies like pasta ragu and almond biscuits and most are matched with the amazing beers from around the world.
When you're not enjoying great music and even better food at this festival, take the time to meander through the traditional and usually exquisite artisan stalls.
After all, it's traditions like these that make this territory so alluring to both locals and tourists alike.
