vc_row][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]giannutri-riandreuOpened in 2009, this aquarium provides visitors with a peek into lagoon life.

Various fish species, some beautiful and some very ugly, live in harmony in the different tanks that have been modeled after the Orbetello Lagoon. That way the fish feel right at home!

In one room is an exhibition of ancient fishing boats, tools and old photos that recreates the proud fishing traditions of Orbetello.

In another room, visitors can look in on the patients in the turtle hospital that shares the building with the aquarium.

I can’t think of a better way to spend a rainy afternoon than admiring Orbetello’s gorgeous lagoon fish.
