Magliano in Toscana has many beautiful churches, but none are as splendid as the Chiesa di San Martino.
Built around the 11th century, this Romanesque church has many of its original travertine facade, which is rare for a building of its age.
To the right of the church is a small portal, decorated with natural and geometric motifs and adorned with two dragons, one of which is being ridden by a man.
Inside the church has a Latin cross form with a Gothic style apse. Again most of the paintings are by the 14th-15th century Sienese school and depict the usual religious figures.
Above the church is a high bell tower built out of the same traventine rock.
You can find the Chiesa di San Martino in the town centre.
