The visitor's centre has five rooms filled with maps and detailed descriptions, as well as murals and dioramas of the park and the minerals that are mined in the area.
Simply put, the main aim of this centre is to draw attention to the unique ecosystem found within the nature park, and the guides who work there are more than happy to explain exactly why this landscape is so different to anyone who is interested.
The centre also has plenty of tips on have we can be more environmentally aware in general, and has dedicated much of its exhibition space towards raising awareness about the issues affecting Monte Amiata's wildlife, some of which are endangered.
